Why Serve?

The more members involved, the more effective the church. The pastors\u2019 role is to equip the people to do the work. Volunteering is a basic Bible principle that Rivers embraces and encourages. We have several ministry departments which provide great avenues for serving, such as: Kidszone, Hospitality, Welcome Team, Resource Centre, Production, and many more. 1 Peter 4:10 NIV Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms.Ephesians 4:11-13 MSG He handed out gifts of apostle, prophet, evangelist, and pastor-teacher to train Christians in skilled servant work, working within Christ’s body, the church, until we’re all moving rhythmically and easily with each other, efficient and graceful in response to God’s Son… Each person should make a contribution in what their gifting is like making things for the church, helping, providing various things.<\/p>\n
