Introduction

These Terms of Use apply to all users of the Rivers Church website or the Rivers Church Mobile Application (collectively, “the platforms”).

You agree by using the platforms, to these terms and condition and any policy or agreement referred to herein.

These Terms of Use cover your rights and obligations as a User of the platforms as well as the rights and obligations of Rivers Church NPC, as a provider of the platforms.

 

User Responsibilities

You agree:

  • that you are 18 years old. In the event that you are not yet 18 years old, Rivers Church will require consent from your parent or guardian before allowing you to use the Rivers Church Mobile App. Should you provide any information through our website, Rivers Church will use reasonable means to obtain parental or guardian consent before processing any order or request logged through our website.
  • That you have the necessary capacity and understanding to agree to these terms and conditions;
  • That the information you provide on our platforms is true, accurate and complete.

 

Updates

Rivers Church may update these Terms of Use from time to time. Users are encouraged to review these Terms of Use at least once annually.

 

Things you shouldn’t do on our platforms:

The content and information found on our platforms (images, videos, audio, text, graphics, software, code and other material) as well as the infrastructure used to provide the content is owned by us or is licensed to us. You agree not to modify, our content and where it is copied or reproduced to ensure that Rivers Church ownership rights are mentioned.

You agree that you will not attempt to modify, translate, adapt, edit, decompile, disassemble or reverse engineer any software used by Rivers Church on its platforms.

 

Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Any Personal Information shared with us will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

 

Your Account

You will need to create a user profile when using our mobile application. You are encouraged to use a strong password to ensure that your Personal Information remains secure in the mobile application.

 

Limitation of Liability & Idemnity

While every care is taken to ensure that your information remains secure on our Platforms, Rivers Church will take no responsibilty for any loss of information with the exception of the loss of Personal Information which shall be handled in accordance with the Privacy Policy.

You will indemnify Rivers Church for any loss of information as a result of your misuse of the platforms or negligent use resulting in unauthorised access to the platforms.

Services on our platforms are provided AS-IS.

 

What we use your information for

Your information is used to create a customised user journey on our platforms. Cognitive tools are employed to ensure that content provided to you is appropriate.

Rivers Church employs third party payment gateways on its platforms and does not store your payment or card information. Collection of card data is in accordance with Payment Card Industry Security Council Standards.

Buttons permit sharing web content directly to a social media platform, such as Facebook, Twitter, WhatsApp and YouTube.

We do not endorse social media website(s) and have no responsibility for the content unless posted by or approved by us nor are we responsible for the cookies such websites may contain.

Use of such buttons or links is at your own risk and you must verify authenticity of sites before posting or providing personal information on such sites.

We do not ask for passwords or personal details on social media.

Websites such as Vimeo and YouTube are used to embed videos on the website and service providers such as Brushfire, MailChimp and Google Analytics may send their own cookies via this site. Please look at the cookie and privacy policies on these third-party sites if you want more information about this.

 

Community Guidelines

 When engaging with other users on our platforms we encourage you to abide by the following guidelines. Failure to abide by these guidelines may result in the content you post being removed by our moderators.

 

  • Hateful content:

We encourage positive and helpful content on our platforms, but we do not support content that promotes or condones violence against individuals or groups, or content that incites hatred.

 

  • Violent or graphic content:

Please do not post violent or graphic content that’s primarily intended to be shocking, sensational, or gratuitous.

 

  • Harassment or cyber bullying

Please do not post abusive videos and comments on our platforms. If harassment crosses the line into a malicious attack it will be within our rights to report it to the authorities and remove the content.

 

  • Spam

Please do not post untargeted, unwanted or repetitive content aimed at redirecting users to other websites, applications or social media content.

 Downloads from our platforms are downloaded at your own risk.
