Since 1992, André and Wilma Olivier have been the senior pastors of Rivers. They have grown the church from just 70 people into a church of thousands and are responsible for the vision, values and culture of the multi-campus church. They are passionately committed to building all their congregations into churches of blessing and significance.
With over three decades of pastoral and leadership experience, André’s ministry is positively focussed, motivational and challenging. He is a certified life coach, and the author of several inspiring books and is frequently invited to speak internationally. André also has a unique and dynamic television programme called Life By Design, which is broadcast in a multitude of countries across Africa and Europe. His practical teaching provides simple keys for living an extraordinary life, finding a way to win and becoming a person of excellence. He shares on topics relevant to our nation and to people of all races, ages, genders and walks of life. André has a passion to add value to others out of the experience of his own journey. His personal mission statement is to preach and teach to inspire faith and breakthrough.
Wilma has a specific passion to build into women’s lives. She heads up a successful women’s ministry called Sisters, and hosts the annual Sisters of Africa Women’s Conference through which she aims to mentor, motivate and mobilise women to be all they can be for the cause of Christ. She is also the author of 3 books; Small Beginnings, Life as a Chocolate Cake and Keep Hope Alive.
André and Wilma have been married for over 45 years and have three children and four grandchildren.
