Rivers Church began in 1992 when Pastors André and Wilma Olivier stepped out in faith with a vision to build a life-giving, Bible-based church that would help people know Jesus and live out His purpose. What started with just 70 people has, by God’s grace, grown into a thriving
multi-campus church, reaching and serving people across South Africa.
Throughout every season, one thing has remained unchanged: our commitment to the truth of God’s Word and our passion to build faith, inspire hope and shape lives. Generations of faithful people have invested their prayers, time and gifts to help create a church that loves God, loves people, and lives life purposefully.
In 2026, a new chapter began as Pastors Adi and Claire Olivier were ordained as Senior Pastors, building on the foundation laid by Founding Pastors André and Wilma. United by the same mission and values, we look to the future with expectation, believing that God has even greater things ahead as we continue to reach people for the cause of Christ.
